Bullet Journaling My Way To Sanity

This post is part of an ongoing series titled Things That Have Improved Your Life.

In this series, I welcome readers of this blog to share an improvement they’ve made in their life. This improvement could be anything – from a new diet or exercise plan to a certain place visited or person they’ve met.

I then ask questions as to how their life has improved, and whether they would recommend others try to make this same thing possible in their own lives.

Bullet Journaling My Way To Society

Today’s interview takes place with Stacey Sacco.

Stacey tells us how her life improved when she started her very own bullet journal. To those who don’t know, a bullet journal is kind of like a filing cabinet for your brain. The great thing is you can set yours up in a unique way that works specifically for you – and that’s exactly what Stacey here has done.

Blogging Series: Things That Have Improved Your Life

What's Your Story?
Made an improvement to your life? Share it here with us!

I’m going to be starting a new blogging series titled Things That Have Improved Your Life.

I’m looking for people who would like to talk about an improvement they’ve made in their own life. If this sounds interesting to you, please read on below and get in touch.

What’s It About?

In this series, I will be interviewing readers of this blog who have made a genuine improvement in their life. I’m going to be asking them specific questions as to what this improvement is, how it came about and whether they would recommend others try doing the same thing.

It’s going to be interesting to see what sort of responses come back from this. Maybe there will be something that we can all look to adopt in our lives for the better. Or at least give a try. After all – don’t knock it till you’ve tried it, right?

I’m definitely looking forward to trying some new things out, and seeing what sort of improvement – if any – it has on my life.

How Can I Take Part?

If this sounds like something that you want to be part of then get in touch. Check out my Contact Page and send me a message explaining that you’re interested. I’ll get back to you and we can take things from there.

Any Rules?

The only rule is this will have to be something that has genuinely improved your life, something that you can talk about in detail. This could be a new diet plan, exercise regime, product you’ve purchased, a person you’ve met, book you’ve read, habit you’ve built etc…

Get the idea?

At the end of each interview, there will be an opportunity to link back to your own blog/website or social media channels. This will be ideal for building up more of a readership yourself. The overall idea is that everyone will benefit in the end.

I’m really excited about this. I can’t wait to see what sort of things we come up with.

If you’re currently reading this and thinking to yourself I’ve made an improvement in my life by doing XYZ and I would love to share it then you should definitely take part in this. I want to hear from you.

Hope to speak to you soon.

How to Keep Cool at Night

how to keep cool at nightI’ve recently moved to a new build home which has brilliant insulation in the walls and ceiling. This is obviously good news when it comes to saving money on our heating bills, but it’s a bloody nightmare when it comes to trying to sleep at night, especially with this heatwave that we’re currently experiencing (something which is rare for Scotland, so I won’t whinge about it too much!). If you too are wondering how to keep cool at night, please do read on and hopefully, my suggestions will help you.

My First Post

My 1st postHello…

Wow, where to start? This all feels a little bit overwhelming now. This grand idea of mine to start a lifelong improvement blog is now really real. It’s only taken me a few months, and that was just to decide on the domain name, something which I’m still not entirely sure of…

Anyway, I’m already starting to get off track here so let me try and start over.

Hello, and welcome to My Lifelong Improvement, a blog dedicated to improving my life, which will in turn hopefully help to improve the life of others. My name is Iain, and I’m a 26-year-old guy from Scotland, Aberdeen. For the longest time I’ve been excited about productivity and self-development, and I don’t really know why. It’s kind of something that I’ve just been hooked by, so much so it’s spurred me on to start my very own blog called My Lifelong Improvement… What’s that? Am I repeating myself already? Oops, so I am.

As you can probably already tell, this is most definitely going to be a work in progress, but that’s OK. It’s really what the whole point of this is. I mean, we’re all a work in progress really, and right just now this is me working on progressing my (severely lacking) writing technique – something which will improve as we go on. Or maybe it won’t? Who really knows? That’s what makes all of this so exciting – the whole unknown. Maybe this will be a massive success. Maybe this will be a massive failure. Maybe I’ll stop saying maybe. Maybe?

For now though, again, welcome to my blog. I felt the need to get a 1st post up, and this is it. Hopefully, some of you reading this will decide to follow along with me. I’m going to be writing about areas in my life that I have managed to improve, whether that be mentally, physically, financially or whatever else-ally. The advice I share will hopefully then be able to aid others, and if it doesn’t, then at least I gave it a shot! As Woody Allen says, “80% of success is simply showing up.” Well here I am, I’ve shown up, the question is where are you? Oh, there you are. Reading my blog. How stupid of me. Let’s just pretend that was a rhetorical question, ok?

As I go on, I’ll be zeroing in on areas of my life that I’m not fully satisfied with, and I’ll be sharing what I’m doing to improve on them. My ultimate purpose with this blog is to make continual improvement throughout my life. It really is aimed at being a lifelong improvement project.
Damn, maybe I should’ve gone with the name MyLifelongImprovementProject.com instead! Then again, this domain name is already long enough as it is.

I feel like I’m starting to ramble, so I think it’s best that I leave this here for now.

I really hope to see you all again soon. Follow along, and let’s have some fun with this!
